In the Brangelina Wedding news maelstrom that engulfed the latter half of last week, one key component of the story was missing: pictures! Well, we now have ’em (a few of them, at least) and . . . there are some surprises. Jolie’s wedding dress—constructed by Luigi Massi, Atelier Versace master tailor—features drawings by her six children, sewn into the back of the dress and the veil. (Wedding magazines across the globe no doubt just scrapped their plans for their next issues in favor of “Arts & Crafts Chic: D.I.Y. Wedding Dresses” cover spreads.) “Luigi is like family to me and I couldn’t imagine anyone else making this dress,” Jolie told People. “He knows and cares for the children and it was great fun putting it together.”
Pitt, unfortunately, did not wear that T-shirt he was seen in a few months ago that showed off a portrait of Pitt and Jolie done by one of their kids, to match; instead he was, according to People, in a “suit from his closet.” He also had to borrow a tie from one of his sons because he forgot his own, giving children everywhere a pretty stellar excuse for the next time they forget to bring in their homework to school (“Um, Brad Pitt forgot his tie for his wedding”). Zahara wore a dress designed by family friend Adama Kebe, while Vivienne went with a white dress from her closet. Maddox, Pax, Shiloh, and Knox wore black suits (Shiloh
accessorized hers with a top hat).
Now please excuse us while, in honor of the Brangelina union, we scribble drawings in crayon on the back of our white button-down before heading into work; we can only assume all of you will be doing the same.
